The International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) and the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) are happy to announce the organization of 8th Scientific Assembly and 37th Congress, respectively in Hyderabad, India during 6th to 12th September, 2009. The long cherished perceptions of International Scientific bodies, putting up concerted efforts to organize some of their important international activities as joint events in developing nations has become reality with unprecedented initiative taken up by the IAHS President, Dr. Arthur Askew and the IAH president, Dr. Stephen Foster. Thanks to these two giants of the Premier International Hydrological Science Associations and their united band of Executive Bodies in organizing the 8^th IAHS Scientific Assembly and the 37^th IAH Congress as a Joint International Convention in India.
